I am allergic to Peanut Oils and Milk Products. Do you use any of these additives in your soaps?
All of our soaps are mild on your sensitive skin. There are no nuts, milk or peanut oils used in our soaps! If you have very sensitive skin care issues or you find yourself allergic to nuts, milk or peanut oils - use our soaps worry free.
Through the years we have found that many people say they can use our soaps on their sensitive skin. While other commercially available soaps causes itching and redness, they have told us, that our soaps do not cause the same allergic reaction.

I have sensitive skin and sometimes the manufactured fragrance oils bother me. Will I have the same problems with your soap?
All of our soaps are mild on your sensitive skin. Through the years we have found that many people say they can use our soaps on their sensitive skin. While other commercially available soaps causes itching and redness, they have told us, that our soaps do not cause the same allergic reaction.
If you still feel that the fragrance oils are to much for your nose to handle, we can custom make our soaps to be fragrance free or even color free if necessary. We are more than happy to make our customers happy.

Are your soaps registered and approved by Health Canada?
Yes, all of our soaps are registered and approved by Health Canada. Each new soap, before it is made available to the public, must be registered as to the ingredients used and the percentage of those ingredients used. Each of our soaps are approved "safe for use" by Health Canada.
Below is our Soap Ingredient Listing as provided to Health Canada. Our soaps are regulated and approved with Health Canada, as we list all ingredients and indicate the percentages of each ingredient used in our forumulations. Our retail and commercial labels do not require us to list the percentages of each ingredient(s) nor the specific fragrance combination nor the colour pigment used. Our soap formulas are proprietary and such are listed with Health Canada only. You may consider the general rule of listing ingredients, first ingredient is the largest percentage and the last ingredient is the lowest percentage.

Your shopping cart asked me if I wanted to make an account. What's up with that? What's the advantage to having an account with you?
You do NOT have to make an account to use our shopping cart. However, there is an advantage if you do. Those that set up their own account can quickly review previous orders, so they can see what they ordered and either get more of the same or try some new soaps. If for some reason you need an invoice from your sale, the shopping cart will keep track of your orders and you can print an invoice at your leisure.
Plus, if you create an account, you will not be required to fill in your billing and shipping information each time you wish to purchase product from us.

I don't have a paypal account but I would like to buy your soaps. Can you help?
Yes! Our shopping cart allows you to select "$Cash - Send Cheque or Money Order" in lieu of using your paypal account. You will shop as you normally do and upon check out, make sure to select that particular option. We'll fill your order and once we receive your cheque or money order, the order is shipped out. No paypal account- not to worry, we've got you covered...

Can I find out what my shipping cost are BEFORE I place an order with you?
Of course, we can figure out how much shipping costs before you place your order.
In fact, our shopping cart does this for you AUTOMATICALLY. Basically, you fill your cart with what you think you'll be ordering and the shopping cart will tell you what the shipping is from our place to yours. Then if you like you can finish the order or if for some reason the amount is not what you're willing to spend right now - you can EMPTY YOUR shopping cart and think about it for another time.
We use RTR (Real Time Rates) so the price the shopping cart displays is an actual cost. Many other companies inflate their shipping rates because their price is just an estimate and they do not want to loose when it comes to shipping so, most will actually charge you more. With RTR's our cart goes to the Fedex site, and does an actual calculation as to what the cost is - from our place to yours and what you have in the cart based on weight.
This all happens behind the scenes and only a small delay is encountered on our website (to display the final price) so most customers don't ever know the cart went to fedex and back! It's an expensive investment (on our part) but, one we have found benefits our customers.
So fill your cart, fill out your shipping information and then "see" what the cost is... then you can add more items and check the shipping again or you can empty your cart and cancel your order.
Again, not until you accept the shipping rate will the cart begin to ask you about your payment options.
Remember, the more items you place in your cart, the more cost effective your shipping rate is. Sometimes one item is more expensive to ship than 10 or 12 items because the cost of shipping can be divided into more items, bringing the cost of shipping per item down.
Below is an actual screen capture of how fedex displays the shipping rate.

What shipping options are available to me?
When you use our shopping cart and you have finished placing items in your cart, you'll be asked to provide an address because our shopping cart will connect with FedEx (our shipping courier), behind the scenes, and calculate your order "live". This is based on the number of items in your cart and the weight of the items in your cart + your shipping location.
This allows the ACTUAL shipping cost to be charged to you. We don't make up a shipping rate, or inflate the shipping rate, what FedEx charges us to ship the items out is what you pay. Not a penny more. Be careful of sites that do not provide Real Time Rates, as usually you'll be paying much more for shipping. We have NO hidden costs associates with our shopping cart.
Of course, if you are near the Edmonton area and wish to pick up your order from our studio, you can, as our shopping cart also allows you to select, "Do Not Ship - Will Pick Up Order". There is a zero shipping charge for picking up your order from our studio.

Is there anywhere that you do not ship?
As long as FedEx can get it there we can ship it. Currently our Real Time Rates from FedEx work in Canada and the United States only. We have shipped to other countries but, you'll have to contact us for a shipping rate.
For those of you overseas, believe it or not, our soaps CANNOT be shipped by regular air. All soap is considered a hazardous good while in flight. Imagine that! I don't make the rules, something to do with the fragrance and the flash point of the fragrance used in soap. The point is, the soaps will have to be sent by hazardous good methods. It is $$$.

Can I pick up my order from your place of business?
Yes you can, as our shopping cart also allows you to select, "Do Not Ship - Will Pick Up Order". There is a zero shipping charge for picking up your order from our studio.
When you're ready stop by:

How are the taxes handled if I am not from the Province of Alberta or from the United States?
If you live in Alberta the shopping cart will charge you the G.S.T. for all the items in your shopping cart.
If we ship your items to another Province within Canada, you will be charged for the GST/HST/PST rate based on which province the goods are being shipped to
If we ship your items to the United States, you are subject to taxes and you MAY be required to pay the duty on the items. Usually, and remember I am not the tax man, typically you will not have to worry about the duty if your order is less than $250.00.
Some customers that have purchased more than $250.00 have not been charged the duty, while some customers that have purchased less than $100.00 have been charged the duty on their order. This seems to be completely random so, although "technically" all should pay the duty, that does not seem to be the case.
If you do have to pay the duty, you'll do so with our FedEx shipper, at your end.

How fast can I expect my order to be filled?
We have most of our soap in stock as we fill orders daily as they are placed. However, you'll need to keep in mind that all of our soaps and facial whips are handmade so if we find ourselves short, it may take a extra day or two to complete the order.
When you place your order, we are instantly notified that an order has been placed! We usually go to work on it within the next 24 hours. Our shopping cart will automatically send you an order confirmation of what you selected to the email address you provided when you placed your order.
No one has had to wait more than a few days to confirm their order has been filled and shipped. Keep in mind that the shipping may take longer than the process of filling your order!

How do I know if an item is in stock and available for purchase?
Our shopping cart is very high tech. The cart keeps a running total of what we have made available for sale versus what has been sold. You'll notice that each soap has an actual inventory listing of what is available. That inventory list changes daily, as we make new soap batches and as the soaps are sold. Keep your eye on that inventory, as you'll only be able to purchase what is available.
If an item is "Out Of Stock" you will not be able to purchase it. So shop with confidence, cause if your allowed to purchase it - we have it in stock!

Do you have a retail or wholesale print catalogue or price list - other than what is found here on the web site?
No... We have tried to prepare printable versions of our web site but, our inventory keeps on growing so we would not be able to keep up with the new entries. When you visit our web site you are viewing the most current version of our inventory and pricing structure.

Do you participate in local craft shows?
Yes, for an up to date list of where we'll be, just click here.

I'd like to carry your soaps in our retail store. What is the process and how do I apply for wholesale status?
The process is real simple. That's the way we like to do things around here.
Just go to our wholesale email page - to go there please CLICK HERE. Just make sure you have your
Registered Business Licence Number for your Province (in Canada) or your State (in the United States).
Ontario Registered Business Customers must fill out a P.S.T. exempt form if claiming P.S.T. exemption. We will fax this form to you and we will keep on file.
If you already have a web site we'd like to have a look where our soaps will be sold. It's easy and simple to do.

Do your product labels disclose all ingredient(s) used in the production of your soaps?
Yes, all of our products are registered and approved by Health Canada. Part of the approval process is the full disclosure of the ingredients used in the manufacturing process of our soaps. All ingredients and percentage of ingredients must be approved by Health Canada long before any of our items are sold to the public.
To comply with Health Canada, all of our retail and wholesale orders must have ingredient labels placed on the product. Some wholesale companiens will choose to lable under their own design in which case we will disclose the ingredients via email or hard copy. It is then the responsibility of the wholesaler to disclose the ingredient list per Health Canada requirements.
One of the easiest ways to avoid all the "red tape" is to purchase our product with the labels already attached!

I sent a email to you and no one has responded. Why?
Rest assured we answered your email. The question is, where did it go?
Make sure to allow email from the Yellow Belly Frog Company. Many of our emails are ending up in your spam folders. Check there first. If you have configured your spam folder to automatically delete email it finds in there, you'll NEVER get an email from us. Too bad...
Just make sure to add The Yellow Belly Frog Company and http://www.yellowbellyfrog.com as good mail, not spam mail.

I don't see the fragrance or design style I'd like to purchase. Do you take custom soap orders?
Really, you don't see one you like? I guess we can't come up with everything by ourselves...
Because we hand make each batch we certainly can make a new soap design just for you! How's that for service? We can make any combination of soap colours and fragrances that you'd like. Perhaps, you'd like to match a soap to your bathroom scheme or your wedding shower, baby shower or party. Get those thinkin' caps on - just let us know what you like.

I'd like to keep up to date with what's new at your company. How do I do that?
There are a couple of ways to keep up to date with what's going on at the Yellow Belly Frog Company. The easiest way is to join our mailing list. We don't send out emails everyday, so not to worry, we won't abuse your privacy. If you make a purchase from us or apply for wholesale status, you are automatically added to our mailing list. At anytime, you can remove yourself from our mailing list.
Please keep up to date by following us on our Facebook page, Blog and Twitter account.

Your soaps are so cool! Who comes up with the designs?
Thanks for the compliment! We get that all the time. That's why we brand our designer soaps "Soft Facial/Body Candy™ Soap". They really are eye candy for your body.
We both come up with designs that have become
our famous Soft Facial/Body Candy™ Soap that helped to shape The Yellow Belly Frog Company. Each of these soaps work on our guiding principle - that bathing can be fun, fun, fun.
It's aromatherapy for your senses. It's eye-candy for your surroundings. Our customers purchase these soaps for one of three reasons... they love the colour combinations, they love the unique fragrance combinations, or they love both!

How did you come up with the name "The Yellow Belly Frog Company"?
We decided early on that we needed three specific criteria when coming up with our company name... (in order of preference)
1. It had to be easy to remember...
2. It was not to have the word "soap" in it at all...
3. It had to have available both corporate business name and web url, so they matched.
We think that our company name is easy to remember and represents us well!
